8.1 Covers Feature
Use your Persona (or a new uploaded audio) to “re-sing” an existing Suno song.
Workflow:
- Find a Suno song you like (yours or public)
- Click “Create Cover”
- Choose a Persona or upload reference audio
- Generate
Result: Keeps original melody and arrangement, but with a new voice.
Use cases:
- Try different voices on the same song
- Sing AI-generated songs with your own voice
- Create alternate versions
8.2 Audio Input
Upload reference audio to guide generation:
- Melody reference: Hum a melody — AI references the melodic contour
- Rhythm reference: Tap a rhythm — AI references the groove
- Full song reference: Upload a song — AI references the overall feel
Notes:
- AI “references” rather than “copies” — results may differ from expectations
- Better audio quality = more accurate AI understanding
- You’re responsible for copyright
8.3 Practical Recommendations
Audio Input is still unstable. If you have a clear vision, text prompts are often more controllable.
Good for:
- Vague melody ideas you can’t notate
- Exploring AI’s creativity from a sound
Not ideal for:
- Exact song replication
- Stable, repeatable output
